ALLOY SYSTEMS

W-Ni-Fe & W-Ni-Cu Alloy Systems

Both are common tungsten heavy alloy systems. Final material selection should be confirmed according to density, mechanical properties, service environment, machining requirements and customer specifications.

W-Ni-Fe| W-Ni-Fe

Suitable for a wide range of high-density counterweights, balancing parts and precision industrial components.

  • Material specifications are confirmed by grade and project.
  • Blanks, semi-finished parts and precision-machined parts can be evaluated.
  • Actual properties are governed by material certificates and customer specifications.

W-Ni-Cu| W-Ni-Cu

Material selection and manufacturing can be evaluated for specific applications, non-magnetic requirements or customer material specifications.

  • Composition and density are confirmed according to project specifications.
  • Pressed & sintered parts can be evaluated from drawings.
  • CNC machining and inspection documentation can be integrated.
Different specifications may set different requirements for tungsten content, density, mechanical properties, heat treatment and acceptance methods. Complete drawings, material specifications and inspection requirements should be confirmed before production.

FAQ

Tungsten Heavy Alloy FAQ

Is tungsten heavy alloy the same as cemented carbide?

No. Tungsten heavy alloy is primarily selected for its high density, while cemented carbide is primarily selected for high hardness and wear resistance. The terms are sometimes mixed in market searches, so the actual application should be confirmed first.

Can the process be evaluated from pressing and sintering through CNC finished parts?

An integrated process can be evaluated based on complete material specifications, drawings, quantity, tolerances and inspection requirements. Actual manufacturing scope is subject to project confirmation.

Can material certificates be provided?

Material certificates, dimensional inspection and other specified documents can be confirmed according to project requirements. Acceptance items under different specifications should be agreed before quotation and production.
